CTET Paper 1 Syllabus Topics Wise
The CTET Paper 1 is for teachers who teach kids in classes 1 to 5. The topics covered include Child Development and Pedagogy, which is about how kids learn and how to teach them, focusing on kids aged 6-11 years. It also includes tests for language, math, and environmental studies to see if the candidate understands how to teach these subjects and knows their content well.
I. Child Development and Pedagogy Syllabus- 30 Questions
Teaching kids and how they grow are important topics for the CTET test. It has 30 questions. Each right answer is worth 1 point. It will look at how kids aged 6 to 11 learn and how teachers can help them learn better. The students can do well in this part if they study each topic thoroughly. - Reading unseen passages – two passages one prose or drama and one poem with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar, and verbal ability (Prose passage may be literary, scientific, narrative, or discursive)
b) Pedagogy of Language Development – 15 Questions

- Role of listening and speaking; function of language and how children use it as a tool
- A critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form

IV. Mathematics Syllabus- 30 Questions
The mathematics syllabus is lengthy but the level of questions asked in the exam is moderate. Most questions are asked from the basic arithmetic from 1st to 5th std. It consists of 30 questions. Each correct response carries 1 mark.
