In response, Kangana Ranaut said that her films were not doing well because of the bad publicity by others. She also talked about audiences liking movies that show women fighting and saying mean things to women. She didn’t say any names, but she suggested that Ranbir Kapoor’s new movie Animal. Kangana Ranaut wrote that she has been trying hard to help women, but she feels discouraged because movies about women’s empowerment are not doing well.
In her next tweet, Kangana Ranaut talked about the new trend in movies where women are just shown as pretty flowers and are not respected. She also said that she turned down movies with famous actors like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar because she wanted to support women’s empowerment.
Many people have criticized Animal for its violent scenes and toxic masculinity. But even with all the bad comments, Animal did really well in the movie theaters.
